Cookies
Draft: to be reviewed before launch.
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Here’s what Church Member Software uses, and how to change your mind.
Cookies we always use
These are needed for the site to work, so we don’t ask first. They aren’t used to track you.
- Signing in: keeps you signed in to your church’s account or member area, and ends when you sign out or after a week.
- Two-step sign-in: if you tick “Don’t ask again on this computer for 30 days”, this remembers that computer for 30 days.
- Your cookie choice: your browser remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don’t ask on every page.
Analytics cookies, only if you agree
On our public website, such as the home page, guides, help and templates, we’d like to use Google Analytics. It tells us which pages people visit and how they found us, so we can improve them. We only load it if you choose “Accept analytics cookies”.
- Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with “_ga”. They last up to two years.
- We’ve switched off Google’s advertising features, so this isn’t used to show you adverts.
- Google provides the service and may process the information in the United States.
We never use analytics or tracking inside the app churches sign in to, the member area, printouts or the links in our emails. Church records are never shared with Google.
Changing your mind
Choose “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page on our website to accept or reject analytics again. If you reject them, we remove the analytics cookies from this site. You can also delete cookies in your browser’s settings.
